From sweeping landscapes to the minutia of everyday living is what excites me. I like to take the path of most resistence; the road less traveled; it is more rewarding at the end. As a highland games athlete and strongman competitor that is also true in regards to strength gains. It is my travels as an athlete to small towns and big cities around the country that has given me the opportunity to photograph vanishing
Urban street scenes and decay of the big cities and the industry in them has been a passion of late.I consider myself to be an urban archeologist of sorts.Uncovering things from the past that have been long forgotten and then documenting it from my own perspective. The discovery of it is exciting to me.The patterns of rust, broken windows, abandoned vehicles and machinery, old signage from business’s long closed. These are the things I see that most pass by without a second thought. The minutia of everyday living, the smaller picture, and the details that most don’t have the time for in our fast paced multitasking world.
